Simply7 Margherita Pizza Popcorn Launches

Simply7 Snacks and chef Giada have introduced a new popcorn flavor, Simply7 Margherita Pizza. This new flavor features the traditional flavor of an Italian Margherita pizza with tomatoes, mozzarella cheese and a sprinkling of herbs.

As a long-time player in the better-for-you snack category, Simply7 wants to meet today’s consumer demand for bold flavors with healthier options that allow consumers to satisfy their cravings. Pizza flavors, a white space in the popcorn category, is one of the top ten craved flavors according to NBC News. Its popularity continues to rise.

The new Simply7 Margherita also contributes to the Fund Her Farm initiative that chef Giada and Simply 7 created to bring awareness and support to female farmers in the United States. In 2018, Simply7 partnered with a female farmer located in Illinois who grew nearly 75 percent of the brand’s blue popcorn and is expected to be in production later this year. The initiative brings the company one step closer to its goal of 100 percent sourced.

Simply7 with Giada Popcorn is made with Non-GMO blue and/or red popcorn, unlike the commonly used white and yellow varieties, and is available in four flavors: Sicilian Sea Salt & Olive Oil, Parmesan Cheese, Butter and Margherita Pizza. Each flavor is gluten-free, kosher, free from major allergens and has 20 percent less fat than the leading “skinny” popcorn.
