B.O.S.S. Raw Superfood Bars Gain Distribution

Raw superfood bars from B.O.S.S. Food Co.®, which launched into wholesale in July, have quickly gained distribution, representation and retail placement.

The line of five cold-pressed and plant-based bars, which are certified gluten free and paleo, are being distributed by UNFI of Providence, Rhode Island, through its UNFI Next program, said Andrea Spirov, B.O.S.S. Founder and CEO. The bars also now are available at Houston-area Kroger stores, and Pacific Northwest representation has been added through Seattle-based broker Food For Thought. The sale to Kroger is direct, Spirov said.

Each of the bars combines ingredients that research indicates have similar beneficial nutritional properties. Ingredients include aronia berries, noni fruit, maqui berries and raw cacao powder. The bar varieties include Move for post-workout recovery and everyday energy, Think with brain-boosting superfoods, Smile for mood, calmness and sleep regulation, Restore, which promotes detoxification and immune support, and Dazzle to promote beautiful hair, skin and nails. The Smile bar was a 2017 SupplySide CPG Editor’s Choice Award finalist. B.O.S.S. Bars are free from major allergens including soy, dairy, grains, peanuts and sugar alcohols.
